Moving out and returning keys

A quick checklist so your move-out goes smoothly – book the lift, return your access devices, and let the right people know.

Plan ahead: moves need to be booked through the portal at least 48 hours in advance so the lift can be protected and reserved (8am–5pm). The lift car is 2100 × 1600 × 2500mm – worth checking against larger furniture. If you’re a tenant, also tell your owner or property manager.

Before you go

1
Book the move

mybuildings.com → Bookings → Moving In/Out. Give your date and time, removalist, and two vehicle registrations. 48 hours’ notice required.

2
Return your access devices

Hand back all fobs, swipes and keys to the concierge, or arrange return with your property manager. Note what you’re returning so records stay straight.

3
Update your details & final levy

If you’re an owner, lodge a Change of Details form and settle any outstanding levy. Tenants should confirm the move with their property manager.

Hi concierge,

Re: Move-out and key return – Apartment [APT NUMBER]

I’m moving out of the above apartment on [date]. I’ve booked the lift via the portal for [date & time].

I’ll be returning the following access devices: [e.g. 2 fobs, 1 car park air fob, 1 apartment key]. Could you let me know the best way and time to hand these back?

[Owners: “I’ll also lodge a Change of Details form and settle any outstanding levy.” Tenants: “I’ve notified my property manager, [name].”]

Thanks,
