Query a levy

If a levy notice doesn’t look right, or you need a breakdown or a payment arrangement, this letter asks the Strata Manager to look into it.

Before you write: check your levy notice and statement on the PropertyIQ portal (Menu → Levies) so you can quote the exact period, amount and any interest. Raising a query doesn’t pause the due date, so if you think a payment may be late, ask about an arrangement in the same email.

Levy query

Dear Strata Manager,

Re: Levy query – Apartment [APT NUMBER], The Precinct

I’m writing about the levy for my lot relating to [period / notice date], in the amount of [$ amount].

[Explain the query, e.g.: “The amount is higher than the previous quarter and I’d like to understand what has changed,” or “I believe a payment I made on [date] hasn’t been credited,” or “Please provide a breakdown of the administrative and reserve fund components.”]

[Optional – if you need time to pay: “I expect a short delay in paying this levy and would like to arrange a payment plan. I can pay [$X] on [date] and the balance by [date].”]

Could you please look into this and let me know? I’m happy to provide any details you need.

Kind regards,
