Version 2026.08.26.2

Privacy Policy

The Precinct Community Group (PCG) operates Precinct Hub at theprecinct.co. This policy sets out how personal information is handled.

Information collected

PCG collects contact details such as name, email address and, where a form requests it, telephone number. For Precinct Perks residents, it collects one apartment number, selected card colour, membership and application status. Move-in month and year are collected only when the resident chooses to show that information on their card. PCG also collects the content of forms and requests submitted through Precinct Hub, and technical information including analytics, device data, sign-in activity and card verification activity. Information is collected directly from the individual concerned and is held in electronic form by the service providers identified below.

Purposes

Personal information is collected, held, used and disclosed in order to operate Precinct Hub, assess and administer Precinct Perks membership, authenticate members, provide and verify membership cards, protect the security of the service, respond to requests and communicate with residents.

Disclosure

Where a petition is submitted, PCG discloses to the recipient named on that petition the signatory's name and the fact that the signatory is a resident at 893 Canning Hwy, Mount Pleasant WA 6153. Apartment numbers, email addresses and telephone numbers are not disclosed to petition recipients.

Personal information is disclosed to service providers who host the site, store data, send email and provide analytics: Vercel, Upstash, Resend, Beehiiv and Google.

When a member chooses to show their card, a person or participating business may see the name, card number and any optional move-in detail shown on it. The apartment number is not displayed. Scanning the card’s QR code returns only Active or Inactive. PCG does not provide the scanning business with a named scan record.

Business applications may include a business name, contact name, email, telephone number, website or social page and proposed offer. PCG uses these details to assess and administer participation.

PCG does not sell personal information.

Overseas recipients

The service providers identified above are located in the United States. Personal information is stored and processed in that country.

Precinct Noticeboard

An active Precinct Noticeboard subscription is required for Precinct Perks. Beehiiv stores the subscription and the Precinct Perks application fields needed to administer it. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe facility. Unsubscribing makes the card inactive until the person subscribes again and re-establishes eligibility.

Access and correction

Requests to access or correct personal information held by PCG should be directed to hello@theprecinct.co.

Retention

Personal information is retained for as long as it is required for the purposes set out above and is deleted when no longer required. Additional evidence requested to assess eligibility is not retained for longer than is needed to decide the application. QR checks return only the card’s current Active or Inactive state and are not kept as named visit records by PCG.

Complaints

Complaints regarding the handling of personal information should be directed to hello@theprecinct.co. PCG will acknowledge a complaint and respond to it.

Amendments

Amendments to this policy are published on this page under a revised version number.
